Anti-inflammatory Effect of Deonjang in DSS induced Colitis mouse model

초록

Doenjang, one of the Korean traditional fermented soybean product, is a famous source for cook in Korea. It has been reported that it functions as a preventive resource for many benign disease in digestive organ. But its role in colon has not proved yet. So we investigate whether doenjang has an effect in DSS(dextran sulfate sodium) induced colitis mouse model. We divided the animals into 6 groups as follow:(G1) vehicle control, (G2) 2% DSS, (G3) 2% DSS + 2g/kg CG-d (G4) 2% DSS + 2g/kg ABL-d. DSS was fed in water bottle for 7day and doenjang was administrated by oral gavage in CMC(n=10). The average length of colon was decrease in G2 compared in G1 group. it was recovered in G4 group, not G3, which means that ABL-d effects on anti-inflammation of colitis. We also counted the colon tissue inflammation including inflamation, crypt damage and ulceration score with H&E staining. In group 3 and 4, the score was reduced than in group 2(p<0.05). Based on these results, doenjang functions an anti-inflammatory effect in DSS induced colitis model.
