Reducing an Insertion Loss of an Interleaver Using Gires-Tournois Etalon

The realizaiton of an interleavers with low insertion loss has received much attention in the field of optical fiber communication network. In this paper, we obtained low insertion loss by reason of precision improvement of an interface plane and variations for the beam size of output collimators with graded index (GRIN) lens. And so, we found out that the insertion loss of interleaver was low, about 0.81dB.
