Blind Equalization Based on Proximal Alternating Optimization

In this letter, we consider a joint channel estimation and signal detection algorithm for blind equalization in short-packet communications. We divide the non-convex blind equalization problem into two sub-problems and propose a channel estimation and signal detection algorithm based on the proximal alternating optimization. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm provides the bit error rate (BER) performance improvement over existing methods. © 2023, Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences.
