The u-blox's PPP-RTK service, PointPerfect, is being advertised as providing horizontal positioning accuracy within 3-6cm in less than 30 seconds. This study conducted tests using low-cost GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers to verify the performance of PointPerfect in South Korea under static and dynamic conditions. The results of static tests showed an average horizontal RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) of 3.3cm, while the average horizontal RMSE for driving tests was confirmed to be 6.2cm. Additionally, periodic characteristics were observed in the time series error graphs of the positioning results, particularly noticeable in the north-south and east-west directions. FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) was performed to identify the periodicity of coordinate errors, transforming direction-specific coordinate error data from the time domain to the frequency domain. Comparison with PointPerfect's standard correction periods showed major error periodicities at 30 seconds and 60 seconds, closely related to the correction information update interval of 30 seconds. © 2024 Korean Society of Surveying.
