초록
We present enhanced nonlinear optic silicon nano-waveguides (SNWs) with one-dimensional periodic structures (1DPSs). High-group index properties are built up near the transmission band edges of the SNWs with the 1DPSs, and thus enhanced nonlinear optic effects are induced within the waveguides due to slow light travelling in them. Optical properties of the silicon nano-waveguides with various-types of the 1DPSs are calculated numerically by using a Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method.
