초록

In this paper, we explore end-to-end loss differentiation algorithms(LDAs) with last-hop wireless links in the networks. Unlike wired networks, random packet loss due to bit errors is not negligible in wireless networks, and this causes significant performance degradation of transmission control protocol(TCP). A key characteristic of this algorithm is that it monitors the network congestion level using ROTT and uses that information to decide packet losses are due to the network congestion or the random bit errors.
