초록
Rooted from modern city planning, contemporary cities are bordered by the network of infrastructure. Such planning has split the modern city into three different texture including history and culture, nature, and daily life, which resulted in simplified and standardized city shape and space. Infrastructure, which creates the city boundary, has started to be thought of as a critical urban constituent having multiple meanings associated with surrounding contexts in contemporary cities. This project attempts to verify the possibility of border condition in urban interior space, to enfold the fragmented urban textures into a subway station while at the same time, disclosing the time layers concealed below ground on the ground, and to reinterpret the subterranean urban space into a positive urban program that is to be the main composition for a multi-layered environment (le milieu).
