초록
Surface pretreatment prior to anodizing critically governs the interfacial quality and durability of aluminumalloys. Here, we establish a multi-technique evaluation framework to quantify how key pretreatmentparameters modify the surface state of Al5052 and, in turn, influence anodic film formation. Morphological, compositional, and thermal analyses (SEM/EDS, XPS, and TGA) were integrated to correlate surface roughness, residual organics, smut/impurity removal, and metal loss across the degreasing–etching–desmutting sequence. The combined metrics enabled quantitative interpretation of stage-specific reaction behaviors and identificationof an optimized pretreatment window that yields a clean and uniform surface while minimizing excessivedissolution. The optimized condition (7 wt% Na2CO3 for 3 min → 8 wt% NaOH for 60 s → 35 wt% HNO3 for30 s) produced a more homogeneous porous anodic oxide morphology and improved chemical durabilityunder identical galvanostatic anodizing conditions. This framework provides a systematic basis forpretreatment optimization and quality control in aluminum anodizing processes.
