Vibration Control of Flexible Structures Using MR and Piezoceramic Mounts

This work proposes a hybrid mount featuring two smart material actuators:MR fluid and piezoelectric material. After devising the hybrid mount, the governing equation is derived and analyzed. The mount is then applied to a flexible beam structure to control unwanted vibration. Both displacement and acceleration levels are experimentally evaluated by implementing the proposed hybrid mount.
