초록

Background: To assess the effect and toxicity of low-dose paclitaxel 135mg/m2(3hr-infusion)+CDDP 60mg/m2, Of those, one was not evaluable for efficacy analysis. Cycles were repeated every 3wks until progression. The median age was 54 yrs. Sixteen patients had ECOG performance status(PS) 1 and fifteen had PS 2. Objective tumor responses, duration of response, time to disease progression, OS, and toxicity profile were the end points evaluated in this study. Results; A total of 122 cycles were administered. the estimated median survival was 10.3mos, MRD 5.3mo, and PFS 3.6mos. The objective response rate was 37%: 0 CR, 11 PR, 9 SD, 10 PD. Severe toxicities were uncommon. There were 4 episodes(3.3%) of grade 3 leukopenia. Grade 3 nausea and vomiting occurred in 4%. Grade 3 peripheral neuropathy occurred in 3.3%. Conclusion: This low dose paclitaxel regimen showed comparable results with previously published high-dose paclitaxel regimen used in metastatic or recurrent gastric cancer and the toxicity was minimal.
