초록
In the present paper, a numerical study on the three dimensional Circulation Control Foil(CC Foil)is carried out. The Circulation control foil exploits a Coanda effect which occurs when jet is blown on the upper surface of the foil to obtain a high lift. The foil is already in use in the field of aeronautics and the present study aims it's application to the field of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engneering. The governing equations are RANS (Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes)equation and the Continuity equation. The equations are discretized by a Finite Difference Method and a boundary fitted accuracy. Turbulence are approximated by a modified Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model. The computations are performed for a foul which is an 20% thickness ellipse with rounded trailing edge.
