Clinical Impact of Tachycardia-dependency versus bradycardia-dependency in patients with atrial fibrillation according to age
초록
Introduction: Atrial fibrillation has many manifestations involving Heart Rate(HR). However, data regarding clinical outcome with respect to age and its corresponding HR through analysis of holter ECG is lacking. Methods: This study included 260 consecutive AF patients, who had no prior usage of anti-arrhythmic drug(AAD), with holter ECG from 2011 to 2013. We divided them into two groups based on their holter findings which are Tachycardia group, [group 1, n=110, tachycardia dominant(TD),] and Bradycardia Group, n=150, bradycardia dominant(BD)]. Group1 and Group2 were defined according to their dominant arrhythmia. Each group were assessed for Cardiovascular(CV) events which included ER visit(ER), hospitalization(HO), CV death, bleeding events(BE) and stroke/thromboembolism(TE)
