초록

The purpose of the study is to examine the properties of water treatment which affect on the efficiency of epoxy insulator. To do this, the surface properties on epoxy insulator have been investigated after long-time accelerated degradation in boiling water condition. The experimental results showed the contact angle and surface potential of the treated samples which were decreased as a function of exposed time. From ESCA spectrum, it was found that the changes affected by the surface degradation of epoxy were caused by the generation of ether groups through the chain decomposition and recombination with oxygen molecules in the air.
