Cellulose-Silica/Gold Nanomaterial for Electronic Application

Cellulose-Silica/Gold Nanomaterial for Electronic Application

초록

Cellulose and one dimensional nano-material composite has been investigated for various industrial applications due to their extraordinary optical, mechanical and electrical properties. In present investigation of the cellulose/silica and silica-gold hybrid biomaterials were prepared by sol-gel covalent crosslinking process. The tetraethoxysilane(TEOS) and gold precursors and γ-aminopropyltriethoxy silane (γ-APTES) as coupling agent were used for sol-gel cross-linking process. The chemical and morphological properties of cellulose/silica and cellulose/silica-gold nano-materials via covalent cross-linking hybrids were confirmed by FTIR, XRD, SEM, TEM and AFM analysis. The results clearly show that cellulose/silica and cellulose–silica/gold hybrids form novel macromolecular structures in the size of 20-100 nm. In the sol-gel process, the inorganic particles were dispersed in the cellulose host matrix at the nanometer scale, bonding to the cellulose through the covalent bonds. The cellulose–metal oxide nanomaterials have a great attention in current research as they have tremendous potential in the field of electronics, optical devices and sensor materials.
