Nucleate pool boiling heat transfer coefficients are measured on a plain tube and several commercially available enhanced tubes(26fpi low-fin, Turbo-B and Thremoexcel-E) for various alternative refrigerants. The refrigerants tested are R22, R123, R32, R134a, R410A and R407C. All tests were conducted at a saturation temperature of 7℃. For all refrigerants tested, Thermoexcel-E tube showed the highest heat transfer coefficients. Heat transfer enhancement ratios of the enhanced tubes showed a maximum value at low heat fluxes and decreased with the heat flux increased.
