초록
The Hoe-hyeon edge of Mt. Namsan, a critical city-spot where natural topography of Mt. Namsan encounters urban texture including Namdaemun market, is considered to be ‘a No Man’s Land’ within the center of Seoul by a typical urban collision between historical context and overcrowded modern architecture, and a discrepancy between the natural geography and a uniformed urban pattern. Utilizing such locational characteristics, the project attempts to represent Seoul’s urbanism inherent in the site through concrete programs that help visitors and tourists experience the cultural comparison, and to propose a cultural commons, as a collaborative platform, that encourages visitors and tourists from all over the world to share the idea of individual regional identity in the globalized City. Key words: Urban Collision, Urban No Man’s land, Collaborative Platform
