스케치 코미디를 활용한 한국어 수업 모형 개발 및 적용 -해외 대학 학습자를 대상으로-
초록
This study develops a teaching model using sketch comedy videos for Korean learners abroad who have limited access to Korean culture. The model aims to provide engaging input and practical speaking opportunities through two phases: preliminary activities using short videos to reduce the difficulty of watching Korean content, and main activities combining pre-viewing, viewing, and post-viewing tasks for vocabulary learning and speaking practice. The designed model was applied to intermediate learners at a Korean Studies Center at a foreign university outside of Korea. The learners expressed satisfaction with acquiring authentic expressions such as newly coined words and abbreviations not present in textbooks, and they enjoyed the humorous content. They also successfully completed a follow-up activity of creating dialogues based on the videos. However, they perceived their expressive ability to be weaker than their comprehension skills. These findings underscore the potential of using sketch comedy to teach contemporary language in a motivating way, while highlighting the need for further research to strengthen the expressive skills of Korean language learners abroad.
