초록
Jet flows applied tangential to a foil surface near the leading and/or trailing edges increase the lift of the foil by delaying separation as already known as the Coanda effects. In the present paper, free surface flow around a Coanda foil is numerically studied. A volume of fluid (VOF) scheme is applied in free surface capturing and the computational results are compared with experimental results for hydrodynamic forces at various values of jet momentum and flap angle.
