Waste tires can be used not only for reinforcement material due to its high capacity against tensile force but also effective for reuse of deposed material massively. This research presented the results from plate load test on the embankment of decomposed granite soil and environmental effects under conservative conditions. The leaching tests performed for about 7 months. The effluent indicated that no significant adverse effects on ground water quality. The tendency to neutralize the leaching and adsorption properties for heavy metals due to rubber compounds were confirmed. The pH measurement after completion of a leaching cycle in the columns indicated that both the initial acidic medium and the basic medium were neutralized. And waste tire rubber in the leaching with heavy metals adsorbed heavy metals with time. Therefore, it can be seen that embedded waste tires promote a cleanup movement for underground water and soil.
