Numerical Analysis of Interior Ballistics According to Ignition Positions

초록

A characteristic study on the interior ballistics according to the position of the ignition injectors has been conducted with numerical code. The code has been developed with the ghost cell extrapolation method for the moving boundary with the projectile movement and the Ergun’s equation for the interplay between the propellants and the combustion gases. The effects according to the ignition positions on the interior ballistics have been studied for the development of the high-performance gun. In case of the maximum position of ignition injectors near to the base, the pressure distribu-tions in the chamber of the interior ballistics have shown to be uniform.
