Fabrication of Hierarchical structure using Maskless Lithography and Anodizing techniques

초록

The superhydrophobicity of solid state surfaces against water has been investigated to solve various environmental surface problems related to the wettability of water, such as bio/organic-fouling, corrosion etc. The interaction between tunable parameters, such as nanostructure spacing, diameter, height and surface energy plays an important role in changing the wettability behavior of water onto the nanostructured surfaces. Here, we systematically investigated the water wettability onto the hierarchical surfaces fabricated using the following two step patterning for aluminum: microscale maskless lithography and nanoscale anodic oxidation. Based on the morphological results, it was found that the patterned Al oxide surfaces contained micro-sized dimples, where porous cylinders with various heights ranging from several tens nm to several µm were also hexagonally ordered. The wettability of water onto surface-modified Al oxides and their imprinted polymer surfaces was investigated.
