초록
The rate of hydroxyapatite formation on the bioactive glass (Na2O-CaO-SiO2-P2O5 system) was investigated under the various conditions of reaction. Silica-rich layer was formed at faster rate under the dynamic condition in comparison with the static condition, and the hydroxyapatite forming rate was changed, depending on the silica-rich layer forming rate. To investigate the effect of silica-rich layer on hydroxyapatite formation, silica-rich layer was formed artificially by using HCl solution (pH2). When silica-rich layer was formed artificially, the hydroxyapatite forming rate was faster than normal bioactive glass.
