Survivability Assessment of Small Warship Given Penetration Hits
초록
Considering the susceptibility, vulnerability and recoverability, this paper has discussed the procedure of integrated survivability assessment for the small warship. The survivability of the warship is defined as the capability to avoid or withstand a man-made hostile environment. Susceptibility is defined as the inability of a warship to avoid the attack by a hostile weapon threat. Vulnerability is the probability of warship to withstand the man-made hostile environment. Recoverability is the probability distribution of the time or residual ability required to control the damages and to return to a predefined capability. Integrating the factors supporting the survivability assessment, an example of the propulsion system is shown to assess the integrated survivability of a warship under the debris attack.
