초록

The integration of distributed generation (DG) and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) facilities into a power system results in altered transient responses compared to traditional AC-based power systems. This study investigates the transient stability of AC-DC hybrid power systems incorporating DG and HVDC facilities. The objective of this study is to identify the factors that influence the frequency stability of the power system. By evaluating the impact of DG and HVDC installations in the specific test environment of this study, it was found that with respect to frequency fluctuations, the DG-only installation reduced the fluctuations by about 10%, while the HVDC installation increased the fluctuations by about 90%. Furthermore, for the maximum fault clearance delay, the DG-only system could operate with a 10% longer clearance time, while the HVDC installation required about 50% faster fault clearance. These results suggest the importance of implementing careful HVDC system design and control strategies in existing power systems. The study used a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to ensure reliable and feasible DG deployment. This study provides a multifaceted insight into the influence of DG and HVDC on the transient response of the power system.
