Radiation-induced apoptosis and environmental pH.

초록

The prupose of this study was to elucidate the role of pH in the induction of apoptosis caused by irradiation using SCK mammary tumor cells of A/J mice. Cells in pH 7.5 or pH 6.6 media were exposed to various doses of gamma-rays and the varying lengths of time. The apoptosis was assessed was using agarose gel electrophoresis of DNA and TUNEL staining assay.
