초록

Benzylsubstitutedbenzylamines and compound 1 of horseradish peroxidase undergo electron transfer yielding corresponding nitrogen radical cations. Subsequently, expulsion of hydrogen atom and hydrolysis giving α-hydroxylamines are followed by formation of benzaldehydes and benzylamines. Various alcohols have been oxidized to carbonyl compounds by BAIB / TEMPO. We can drastically reduce the reaction time employing periodic acid / TEMPO.
