Modeling and Execution of Location-Dependent Queries in Moflex Transaction Model for Moble Computing Environments

The users on mobile hosts want to access information from heterogeneous multidatabase system via wireless communication at anytime and anywhere in mobile computing environments. Hence, mobile transaction model should support location-dependent queries and handovers that are distinguished features of mobile computing environments. To resolve these requirements, several mobile transaction models and the framework for location-dependent query processing have been proposed. However, none of them fully supports above requirements except Moflex Transaction Model. But, the Moflex Transaction Model lacks the efficient execution mechanism for location-dependent queries. In this paper, we expand Moflex transaction model that models the location-dependent query and copes with mobile user's mobility in executing the location-dependent query.
