Collision test equipment and Validation FE analysis for dynamic material properties of arctic steel

초록

ice load is the most important consideration ing the design of ship or offshore structures in operate in polar regions. the deformation or failure of the structure is caused by the interaction that between the ice and structure. In this study, the collision pendulum equipment was manufactured to test the toughness of steel which is subjected to ice impact. Experiments are not in actual model test but in plate material impact resistance test to investigate the properties of materials. We will apply mutual verification using FEA in the further work. And the final goal of this study is to apply the real structure for FEA model through the validated finite element analysis.
