Generative Language Models for Character Utterances in Novels

LLMs excel at text generation but struggle with emotion and personality consistency. LLMs mirror broad personality traits but fall short in encapsulating the intricacies of characters found in novels. In this study, we trained an LLM (LLaMA-2) to generate personality-consistent utterances using annotated novel data.
