Classification of the Drawdown Zone Vegetation of Korean Reservoirs
초록
The diverse vegetation can be developed by the natural environmental conditions and controlled by the artificial dam operation on the drawdown zone of reservoirs. We classified the drawdown zone vegetation using ordination analysis of dominant plants in 73 reservoirs. The vegetation were divided into seven groups according to the life form and life cycle of dominant plants: emergent plants(G1), floating-leaved plants(G2), ephemeral herb(G3), salicaceae(G4), annual herb(G5), ecotone herb(G6) and perennial plants(G7). The result of detrended correspondence analysis(DCA) showed that the vegetation groups G1 to G4 were mainly distributed on the drawdown zone of the reservoirs with narrow range of annual water level fluctuation and the groups G3 to G7 were commonly distributed in the reservoirs with wide annual fluctuation of water level. In conclusion, the vegetation groups classified by the life form and life cycle of dominant plants were affected by the annual water level fluctuation width of Korean reservoirs.
