Donor site Morbidity and Flap Fate of the Suprafascial Radial Forearm Free Flap
초록
Purpose: Radial forearm free flaps are most common used for head and neck reconstruction as they are easy dissection, moderate sized, durable, and thin flap. When harvesting the radial forearm flap, we usually used the subfascial flap including the whole fascia over muscle and tendon. After radial forearm subfascial flap, several complication of donor sites, such as, tendon exposure of the flexor carpi radialis, unsatisfactory donor site shape, delayed wound healing, hematoma and infection, have been reported. We tried to reduce donor site complication by harvesting by the suprafascial dissection method. By studying the case of suprafascial radial forearm free flap, we investigated flap survival rate, flap fate, donor site and recipient site complication. As a result, we confirmed the usefulness and value of this method
