Design of Waterflood Intake Offshore Sturctures

초록

Water intake and seawater treatment plants have been constructed in several regions for the purpose of providing clean water for enhanced oil recovery projects. In order to ensure a continuous supply of water, water intakes have been located in the nearshore zone. In the U.S.A. several water intakes have been built in the Alaskan Beaufort Sea. The design of water intake should consider various environmental conditions to ensure its stability and integrity to meet the requirements. This paper reviews the unique design requirements and discuss what to be considered in the design and operation of water intake structures.
