Peripheral T cell lymphoma developing in Hodgkin's lymphoma

초록

Hodgkin's lymphoma(HL) has been linked to an incresed risk of secon malignant neoplasm(SMN), especially non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia. The mutagenic property of cytotoxic therapy as well as defective immunity have been implicated as plying a major role in the deveopment of SMN in pateints previously treated for HL. We report a case of 73 year-old man with HL who developed a second malignancy within a latent period of 36 months following HL diagnosis. The patient presented initially with bilateral cervical and supraclavicular as well as mediastinal, paraaortic laymphadenopathy and bone marrow invo;vement. He was staged as IVb, nodular sclerosing type HL, and was given six cycles of CHOP. After 36 months following the completion of therapy, a peripheral T-cell lymphoma appeared in neck lymph node, with no evidence of HL in biopsy specimen. Although institution of a new chemotherapy regimen(COPBLAM-V)was done, an unsatisfactory response with a rapid fatal course was noted.
