The green hydrogen economy hinges on efficient water splitting electrocatalysts. This presentation highlights the vital role of computational modeling in their design and optimization, emphasizing the synergy between theoretical calculations and experimental validation. Through examples of computational simulations, we'll introduce a process and methodologies for effective collaboration between computational and experimental researchers. We will detail the workflow of a computational researcher at each research stage, from problem formulation to result interpretation, aiming to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for their contributions. Ultimately, this presentation advocates for more efficient and productive collaborative frameworks, believing that mutual understanding and respect will accelerate scientific breakthroughs and the realization of a viable green hydrogen economy, contributing to a cleaner, sustainable future.
