Aspect Ratio-Controlled Synthesis of Silver Nanowires

초록

Silver nanowires have received a great interest due to their high aspect-ratio and surface area as well as unique optical, electrical, and chemical properties, which enable them to be promising in applications over very broad areas including catalysis, electronics, optoelectronics, sensing, and surface-enhanced spectroscopies. The properties of silver nanowires are strongly dependent on their morphology, shape, and aspect ratio. Aspect ratio-controlled silver nanowires have received significant attention recently because varying the aspect ratio of nanomaterials allows one to fine-tune their properties over a wide range. For example, the optical resonance (e.g., surface Plasmon resonance and photoluminescence) of silver nanowires have been demonstrated to be exceedingly sensitive to their aspect ratio. Therefore, in this study, we prepared aspect-ratio controlled silver nanowires by a simple physical method using ultrasonication and their properties with various aspectratio were characterized.
