Insulin Resistance and B-Cell Dysfunction between Impaired Fasting Glucose and Hemoglobin A1c-Defined Prediabetes in Pediatric Populations

Patients with IFG might be at higher risk than those with A1c-PDM in terms of insulin resistance and b-cell dysfunction. Insulin resistance seems to contribute more crucially to the development of PDM than b-cell dysfunction during childhood and adolrescence.
