초록

The contrllabilty of the radical polymerization of vinyl acetate has been ivestigated in the presence of several alkyl halides, such as iodoform, chloroiodomethane and trideca(fluoro)-n-hexyl iodide. It was found that the best controllability was observed in the thermally induced polymerization in the presence of trideca(fluoro)-n-hexyl iodide. It was attributed to the stabilization of active radical species due to the rapid iodine excahnge between the radical species with alkyl iodide.
