Analysis of Water Quality in a Reservoir under Climate Change

Due to the climate change, the climate components such as temperature, precipitation, evapotranspiration are changing. Climate change is expected to have negative impacts rather than positive impacts in the field of water resources and water quality by the rise of air temperature and water temperature. So, this study estimated the long-term runoff considering climate change scenarios for the assessment of water quality in a reservoir under climate change. The SWAT model is used for the long-term runoff simulation. Based on the runoff simulation, we simulate the water quality considering climate change in the reservoir. The study area is Okjung-ho in Seomjin River dam and COD, TN, TP are selected for the water quality assessment. It is expected that this results could be used as basic data for intake facilities and water quality management of the river by identifying changes in water quality of Seomjin River dam in the future.
