Narrow-band Interference Suppression in Ultra Wideband Systems via LMS and Frequency Domain Processing

초록

In this paper, a novel technique is presented for narrow-band interference (NBI) suppression in Ultra Wideband (UWB) systems. In this technique, NBI is modeled as a single tone cosinusoidal signal that is estimated by two procedures. First, we estimate the frequency of NBI by frequency domain processing approach. Next, Least Mean Square (LMS) algorithm is used to estimate the NBI which is then subtracted from the received signal. Simulation results reveal that this method can mitigate the effect of NBI effectively.
