TREATMENT WITH CLEVUDINE FOR 24 WEEKS RESULTS IN SUSTAINED ANTIVIRAL RESPONSE ASSOCIATED WITH CONTINUED HBsAg DECREASE 24 WEEKS POST-TREATMENT IN HBeAg-POSITIVE PATIENTS

초록

Background and aims: Clevudine (CLV) therapy in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients resulted in a significant viral suppression along with a marked post-treatment antiviral effect in phase III studies. The sustained viral suppression by clevudine may come from reduction of hepatic cccDNA, which is thought to be correlated with a reduction in serum HBsAg. The objective of this study is to evaluate if sustained viral response at 24-week post-treatment is associated with HBsAg reduction.
