Optimization of compact optical power splitter using waveguide width as a new parameter

초록

We report for the first time on the effectiveness of using waveguide width as a new parameter in optimizing the performance characteristics of a compact 1x2 optical power splitter. This approach allowed revealing several new previously unnoticed features such as periodic variations in the interference length, waveguide separation and efficiency.
