Functional role of KLF10 during life

초록

Kruppel-like factor 10 (KLF10) is a transcription factor containing a triple C2H2 zinc finger domain which belongs to Sp1-like transcription factor family. It has been known to have some roles in proliferation, differentiation as well as apoptosis. Unlike the family, klf10 knock-out mice did not showing lethal phenotype during gestation period. And also, it didn’t have any critical defects after birth even though there are many reports regarding its roles chased on loss of functional study in mice. Based on many trials, we are here proposing three points as a character of KLF10 role with an evidence. First, it has different function upon the situation and environment. Second, it has a response with virial factors not only TGF-β pathway. Third, it acts as a supporting role not a lead role.
