Enhancing Read-and-Write Performance Using Locality Based Chunking for Streaming Data

This paper proposes a locality based chunking method for storing streaming data into storage system. The proposed method employs additional buffer caching replacement, which increases the number of read and write operations by merging small chunks into a larger chunk. The preliminary experimental results show that the proposed method has performed the higher number of write-anddegraded read operations compared with existing Jerasure open source method using RS code.
