초록

The rigid-plastic finite element method is employed for the quantitative analysis of the forward tube extrusion process combined with backward can extrusion. The emphasis is focused on the analysis of material flow into backward can and forward tube. Due to various process conditions and die geometries, the material flow into two orifices shows different patterns and its characteristics are well summarized quantitatively in this study. Based on the simulation results, steady state on material flow in two directions was investigated in terms of volume ratio of backward can to forward tube and change of can height extruded backward. Furthermore the influence of friction factor, punch angle and mandrel diameter on deformation pattern were summarized.
