A Novel LC Cell Mode : Pseudo-TN IPS Mode

We propose a novel LC cell mode, named as pseudo-TN (twisted nematic) IPS (In-plane switching) mode, which demonstrates improved performance including wide viewing angle, fast response time, and high aperture ratio. In this paper, the electro-optical characteristics of Pseudo-TN IPS mode discussed from the three-dimensional numerical simulation.
