Design and Implementation of Policy-based Mobile IP Networks

Policy based network (PBN) is the network that supports policy making, delivery, and execution. PBN is that policies of all kinds can be centrally stored and then distributed as needed to the devices that must enforce them, and leads to corporate-wide policies that can be applied in a consistent fashion. In this paper we have proposed policy-based network framework for Mobile IP networks and defined policy classes followed by scenarios using PIB(Policy Information Base), we propose an implementation strategy of policy-based Mobile IP networks to enforce various control and network management operation. The proposed framework, scenarios, and implementation strategy are novel in the sense that it extends PBN concept to complex Mobile IP networks and considers QoS issues.
