A method of specializing urban space through the building monorail station in Yanji city

As the deepening of the Modernization and globalization, many border cities in China have boomed their own construction programs. Yanji, one of those cities, also started her urbanization with the road network building. Until 2008, 400 kilometers of lines had been laid. However, without any sustainable blueprint considerations, Yanji city has to face her huge load and traffic problems. In this study, the problem from the infrastructure for transportation will be pointed out which is caused by carbon dioxide emissions that from the public traffic facilities such as buses and taxis, and the problems between the roads and urban space will be investigated. Then, the study attempted to propose the creation of the station space to integrate the urban programs, transportation and urban space, which beyond the construction of the road network as a boundary region.
