초록
The Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB) technique with a special experimental apparatus can be used to obtain the deformation behavior of materials under high strain rate loading conditions. In this study, the conventional SHPB apparatus is modified by a Pulse Shaper to modify the incident pulse which gives pronounced effects to the shape of stress waves. The modulated stress waves make the specimens be under dynamic stress equilibrium and be also under nearly constant strain rate over most of the test duration. We have placed a Pulse Shaper on the impact surface of the incident bar in this paper. details of dynamic stress equilibrium on the specimen surfaces are investigated in detail. The dynamic deformation behaviors of a Rubber (NR/CR) under the high strain rate compressive loading condition are evaluated using the modified SHPB technique.
