Numerical Study on the Performance of the Glass Evacuated Tube Collector

초록

The performance of the glass evacuated tube collector is numerically investigated. The glass evacuated tube collector consist of a glass tube and a copper tube, the working fluid. The length and the diameter of the glass shell are 1,200mm and 38mm, respectively. The diameter, thickness, and length of the copper tube and the flow rate of air are considered as important design parameters and operating parameter of the collector. The effect of the design parameters on the performance of the collector are investigated. The results show that the diameter, thickness, and length of the copper tube should increase and flow rate of air should decrease to get the much heat and high outlet mean temperature at the design of the system although the heat loss ratio increases. However getting the heat and high outlet mean temperature is more considered than the heat loss at the design of the system.
