Defecogram 과 pudendal nerve terminal motor latency를 이용한 산후와 수술후의 defecation physiology의 비교

There are lots of women who complain of defecation problems. But there are few, if ever, methods that are able to measure the problems. We used two methods to measure the problems. the first one is defecogram and the other is pudendal nerve terminal motor latency and amplitude. By defecogram, we measured anorectal angles during rest, defecation and squeeze. And by pudendal nerve terminal motor latencies and amplitudes, we measured left and right side. We also used same methods to opstoperative women to use it as a reference value. There were 12 patients who were willing to join our studies. 4 postpartum patients and 8 postopertive patients. The 8 postopertive patients' results are as follows: The mean value of the angle of the rest, defecation and squeeze are 98+14, 124+11, and 74+12. The mean value of the right pudendal nerve terminal motor latency and standard deviation was 2.07+0.43 and that of left was 2.07+0.48. The mean value of right pudendal nerve motor latency was 0.29+0.16 and that of left was 0.30+0.11. The results of 3 postpartum was like this; The latency value of right was 2.34+0.12, left was 2.50+0.20. The amplitude of right was 0.20+0.10, and that of left was 0.20+0.17. As there are few data about defecogram and postpartum period, we would like to perform it as a pioneer. And after accumulating lots of data, we would publish it as a formal data.
